Mr. Sid just passed a month ago at 15.5 years old. This is one of my two favorite shots I have of him.

Beautiful dog, Jim! I know that you must miss him. Our pair just turned 13 today.

We knew the day was coming for Sidney. For us it was kind of a blessing. Here is my other favorite picture of him. It's on my phone's home screen.

Would you please let us know the breed of Mr. Sid. We adopted a young dog from a lady who was put into a shelter without ever finding out his pedigree. Our Tanner looks a lot like your Mr. Sid. Thanks, LEON

We all know that when we bring a dog into our homes it will be only for a while and then we have to say goodbye. The joy we have while they are with us is beyond compare and the sorrow we feel at their passing is always profound. Mr. Sid looks like he was a great companion and I am certain you have many fond memories of his time with you. For those of us who have experienced their unconditional love know why the name is spelled backwards.

Sidney was a Papaillon.
The Papillon, also called the Continental Toy Spaniel, is a breed of dog, of the spaniel type. One of the oldest of the toy spaniels, it derives its name from its characteristic butterfly-like look of the long and fringed hair on the ears.

Thanks everyone for all your kind words. We have moved on and are now raising a Morkie, her name is Abby. Forgot how much effort it is to potty train. Hope to get some decent pictures of her soon.
