I Am A Rose!

Still playing with my new ring flash.
Currently the only open bloom on our two rose bushes but this same bush has some buds, one starting to open.
It is domesticated nature in the back yard and while the subject "a rose" is simple the rose itself is not. Complex shapes and interactions, shades of deep rose pink to pale pink to cream and shadows here and there. Let your eyes pick a spot and follow the edges in a swirling path back and forth across the rose you can keep going for a long time back and forth with your eye's path crossing itself many times without repeating one exact path.
This rose is 5" but this image is just a tad over 4" and my aim was the shapes, patterns and colors of the petals.
5DIV, 100 f/2.8 Macro, 1/200 @ f/22, ISO-400
hand held, shade, AF center point w/assist, spot meter

Perfect capture. Excellent rendering of this rose, with great detail in the texture of the petals.

Thank you, you can just get lost looking at it and following the edges around and around etc. etc. It kind of makes me think of a pink cloud or a pile of pint satin sheets.
