We all know that a man's wife is always the most beautiful woman in the world in his eyes. Who is to say that things are different in the bird world? Let anthropomorphism abound! I notice the colors are far richer since I changed the gamma on my Sony RX10M4 to still camera settings. Who Knew? Hope you enjoy my creation and make sure the gamma on your camera is set to still images.

From scientificamerican.com "Gamma is the relationship between the numerical value of a pixel in the image file and the brightness of that pixel as viewed on the screen...", so when viewing/editing the image, if the gamma is higher (above 1.00) your colors may appear washed out. I do not have the "gamma" control setting on my D850, but I have the Flat setting in Picture Control menu. It is supposed to preserve the detail in highlights and shadows, perhaps similarly to the Gamma on your Sony.
Like Ms Cardinal and her comment, though.

Hi Don,
You are welcome. It got me thinking so I had to look it up.
Pandemic will be with us for a while (for whatever reasons) so like you,
I am looking for different avenues - I have picked up the astrophotography, ha ha.
Keep shooting and stay healthy! J.
