Another part of nature in my backyard.
Yesterday's Rose with just a few hints of color from it's former beauty.
But see the Rose Hip there, inside the seeds develop and those are the Roses of tomorrow so here we see a hint of the past, the present and the hope of the future.

90D, 100 f/2.8 Macro, 1/250 @ f/11, ISO-400
hand held in open shade, center point AF, spot meter, Ring Flash

~ That thing is just BEGGING for some Macro/Closeup shots. Colors and texture ALL over the place. A chance for you to do something very artistic.
Now, get to work.

Sad but spring is around the corner! There will be a new one to replace this poor thing! It needs a good resting place!

Are you some type of teacher?
As a retired 35 year classroom teacher I too have a great talent for thinking of things to keep other people busy.

Actually I prefer to let the rose hip mature - I am thinking of using this one in an experiment to see if I can get any rose seedlings. Mostly I trim them off so the bush puts out new buds. This one is high enough, actually above my eye level (raised flower bed and a big/tall rose bush) I would have to cut it off to really work with it for macro focus stacking etc. Even with my tallest tripod I could get the camera up to it but it would be a pain to work and then there is the fairly stiff breeze we have had for days, too much movement for focus stacking work.
