We drove to Irvine Regional Park this morning, hoping to find two birds (Varied Thrush and White-throated Sparrow) and always looking for good photo subjects. No luck on the sparrow, but after a long wait, the thrush showed up. Meanwhile, we were enjoying a beautiful day, a soft breeze, and several interesting species (not even counting the Peafowl, which are resident in the park). Here are some highlights, all taken with a beNikon D500, Nikkor 200-500mm telezoom, generally set at f/5.6 and 1/1250 or 1/1600. Just have to keep shooting. Hope you enjoy.

You're most welcome, Sinewsworn. The more I use the equipment, the happier I am with the results. More keepers (I used to keep more mediocre photos because I had didn't have any better but wanted a record of the subject, etc. I don't have to do that as much as I practice more.) Have a healthy, happy weekend and new week. jak
