I took this at a very cold Sandy Hook, New Jersey last week. It is of a bunker door where ammunition was stored during WWII for artillery guns on the hill to protect New York Harbor.
The antique image, for me, gives a sense of the history of this location, which goes back into the 19th century.
I wish I were able to spend more time shooting and less looking for things to do on past images, but I’m not complaining too much.
By the way, I had to resend this from my iPhone. For some reason on my laptop I could not attach any images when I clicked on choose file. Sorry about that.

Nicely done. I really like the second one.

I really like what you’ve done with the monochrome image. For me, it captures the image more effectively than the color and put me in the period. Well done!

First one for me.
Color has nothing to do with period - only early recordings of it.

Interesting subject works well even though I'm not sure what it is. IMHO it's 2, 3, 1 and 2&3 are close.

In agreement and if I may add something, I would remove some red and yellow to make the sepia less pronounced but that is me.

I really love that last "aged" one that echoes the history of this place

They are all good. The last one stands out as it has more of a "period" appeal.

If you really want to know Daldds, the first frame tells you (and us) about a long way to a sunlit open space with nice trees - kind of a surprise. The winner.
The second one shows you a structure, but you have no idea what it is?
The third one is a flat blob you can claim - you found it in the attic - from 1900.

Happy enough?
Cheers!

While I like the sepia toned images over the color, I really believe B&W would be more fitting to show the 20th century.
But it is what makes YOU happy that matters the most.

I’m torn between two and three. They are very different photos, so I suppose it depends on what you want the viewer to see.
