Use the Finder and find all files ending in .lrcat

Thanks, I will give that a try. I did that and found the base file from when I installed LR. Now I have to figure what to do with it.

Thanks!

Sorry Mike, I hope it goes faster than my Big Sur update.
I lost my Nik Collection, but I found it in Adobe 2020 plugin folder, I just drug it into Adobe 2021 plugin folder , Bingo problem solved.

Hopefully you're suing Time Machine, you can search and find th e.lrcat file in the time Machine back-up and restore it where you want.

"Now I have to figure what to do with it."

Double click on the .lrcat file with the most recent date. It should open Lightroom Classic.

If you use Time Machine for backup then use it to restore your previous OS X - leave Big Sur to the Big Sirs who can afford new Macs. Cheers JohnR

Check your "Downloads" folder to see if the LR install stuff is still there. You may have to re-install the software?

They do. The OP asked about Lightroom Classic. Adobe builds in an automated catalog backup system. It is on by default, but can be turned off. Additionally, Lightroom Classic is completely non-destructive in that it only reads from your image files, it never writes to or modifies the originals.
