Almost likewise. These were sometimes model specific and incorporated a close up diopter. IOW, a snapshot macro kit. However this one appears to be just for fill flash. I don’t see any lens in it.

Designed for a early film point and shoot camera with a light meter to the side of the lens. It reads incident light for the camera meter.

Looks like a magnifier with a light. Round is the magnifier glass and white opaque is the illuminator. My guess.
