I think squirrels like everything garages, picnic tables, lawn chairs, fire pits.... We have a black walnut tree at the edge of our property. Some years, it drops a lot of nuts. I went home one weekend, figuring I would work on the hundreds of nuts - and I mean literally a ton! I came back the next Friday, and they were all gone. Huh? I asked my neighbor if she did it and she said not. My brothers-in-law in the meantime came to work on a car I had parked near the tree. They opened the hood, and the engine compartment was packed with the large, green nut pods. And packed very intricately so that several carefully placed nuts were keeping the majority from falling to the ground. Had to be at least three hundred nuts... Yes, squirrels love a lot of stuff....
