Yes, I have uploaded my entire library. I don't use it as my only backup though as I have also backed up my entire library on three hard drives. Amazon is just the cloud copy. One interesting thing about it is that if you watch Amazon Prime TV with a Fire Stick or the like, you can set it up so that if you pause the video for a few moments a random slide show of your photos starts up and runs for a while. In doing that it has reminded me of lots of old photos (up to 20 years) that I had forgotten about.

I have it and it's okay for jpgs I guess. Tortuously slow and hard to keep updated, so I rarely use it.
Is Amazon Prime limited to jpegs?
So much for backing up documents, PDFs, etc at Amazon...
Maybe some people are only interested in backing up photos.

I guess that's why they call it Amazon Photos. :-)

I wonder if people use another vehicle to back up other files.
IF they back them up....

If they have ever experienced a hard drive failure they usually get in the habit of backing files they don't want to lose.

As noted by some, BACKUP is for everything, not just photos. Yes, this is a photo oriented forum so people are in the habit of thinking about their image files. But in reality, your computer (unless you are computer illiterate in everything except photography) contains important files other than your images.
Much has been said about the usefulness of digital photos. They reproduce well without copy degradation and all that sort of thing. The same is true of written documents and other computer files. Do you have a will? Life insurance policies? Titles to your vehicles and home(s)? Family documents like letters home from your 3Great grandfather in the civil war? These things should all be on your computer and in your backup system.
If you're going to do a backup of important stuff, do it ALL.
