It's the geology of Utah's Canyon country that first catches our attention and takes our breath away. While not as obvious as the flora of the desert of let's say Big Bend National Park, the high desert flora of Utah' canyon country helps complete the picture of this unique wilderness. Here's a bunch of images that should get you psyched for photographing this beautiful region. Sacred Datura, Claret cup cactus, Indian Paintbrush and cliff rose are the featured flowers in the first 4 images. Please download those that can be. (more coming soon)
Wow!!!! Spectacular!!! I love #2 and 5. I can hardly wait for the next post from you!!!!! Awesome.
Beautiful post, Nature's paintbrush can enliven the most barren landscapes!
Harvey, Excellent work. No. 2 is my favorite. Please keep on posting.
Very nice shots and #5 is special - well done!
Great #5. A recent rain?? Thanks for sharing.
If you mention dessert, one of the first things that come to mind is flowering cactus. As far as out west & the mountains , On fire colored rock mountains , wild flowers , snow covered peaks. Nice photos.

Yes, a quick rainstorm turned all these hanging slot canyons into waterfalls at Capitol Reef National Park
Wow, nice, enjoyed them all! Numbers two and five are also my winners.
