Is anyone here using the 25-200 Z mount lens on a Z6 or other Z mount and can you tell me what you think about it? I am thinking about buying one and would like to hear your thoughts on it. Thanks in advance.

I'm waiting for the 24-105mm Z-mount lens to be released. I want to see what its maximum aperture is. The f/4 to f/6.3 maximum aperture range of the 24-200 is a little slow.

you're right it is and I considered that, but I have found that the high iso on my Z6 is really good, so I will just adjust that to compensate.

You have almost answered your own question. I travel with the 24-200 and it works great, although in dim, setting sunlight even my Z6 struggled. It is a very good walkaround lens!
I shot this about 7pm from 50-60 yards away, heavily cropped.

Like CO, I'm very interested in the 24-105 and also the 100-400 when they come out. But this is a good bridge and low cost alternative.

I have one and use it all the time when bokeh is not necessary, which is most of the time with family (not portraits) and landscape photos. Seems very sharp.

As others have said, it's definitely a slow lens but it does a good job in good light and fills the travel lens niche. I've used it a bit indoors at my church where the zoom is needed - it's adequate but not great and I'm currently saving for a Z70-200 for that type of application. Here's a shot taken a few weeks ago.

Just got one (a couple weeks ago) after almost 1 mo. back order from Adorama. New Z6 for me and I love both so far. Not using it in low light without flash, so I’m ok with min f/4. Can get reasonable bokeh there and really like the sharpness, reach, size, and weight for a walk around. Still adjusting, so ask me in a year or so.

I presume you meant Z 24-200. Following positive reviews by multiple reviewers, I bought it and I am very happy with its performance. No regrets. I used it on Z6 and Z7. Excellent lens.
