As most of you know I have been a Republican for a long period of time and I have a Trump supporter for the first three years and 11 months of his presidency. My apologies for that because today watching what’s going on in Washington DC which is a direct result of trumps rhetoric I see a complete breakdown of the republican party as well as the fall of the republic as we know it. Joe Biden just made some really good comments about what’s going on and then Trump came on and basically said nothing. In my opinion when Trump lost the e******n he also lost his mind. I am not excited about a Biden presidency but I am looking forward to trump leaving the White House on the 21st.

I v**ed generally Republican until 2016. Knowing Trump's history up to that time, although I didn't like Hillary Clinton as a person, I knew she was a far better candidate than her sleazy opponent. The last 4 years bore that out, and the past 2 months have been a nightmare witnessing the assault upon our democracy by a deranged liar.
There has never been a more appropriate time to exercise the 25th Amendment than now. The pathetic occupant of the WH needs to be removed from office.

Thank you, usnpilot. I appreciate your military service and your comments about this sad day. Hopefully, more people will be able to speak as you have, and healing can take place. Your post has given me hope. I want to see change, but I do not want to see a "radical left agenda". We will always have reasonable dissent, but I really want our country to come together to truly make us great. We must learn to compromise. I know that you also want a more united country.
