Backyard Birds Collage

Bird photography is new to me, and has become a welcome distraction from the boredom of not being with friends while being mindful of Covid 19 restrictions.
Our backyard is very close to Boone Lake Tennessee, and that fact as well as being in a rural setting attracts many varieties of bird species. These 4 are but a few. The Blue Jay is obvious, as is the male red cardinal. Below the cardinal is the Red-bellied woodpecker and last is the Black-capped Carolina Chickadee.

Nice shots. Being from Michigan, however, I can attest that the Carolina bird is not a Black-capped Chickadee. The Black-capped Chickadee is one of the most common non-migratory birds in Michigan. The Carolina version is quite similar, but does, indeed, have a black cap.

Ooops, Yes I goofed, it is a Carolina Wren, not a Black-capped Chickadee. Thank you for pointing it out!

Excellent shots, JCook. I found myself doing the same thing. Learned a lot about photography and birds, so it was a great way to spend the time.
