I've used a bunch of different editors, the best cheap one to get is Affinity Photo at around $50. Of course there is also Gimp, which is free that also does it all. None are particularly easy to use however. Well, they are ALL easy to use once you learn how. The learning curve is wider the more powerful they are. It is both fun and rewarding learning how to use an editor and it pretty much a requirement. If money were no object, I probably would go with PS.

While you're deciding, might as well grab FastStone Viewer. It is completely free and has a lot of editing functions, but no layers. It is possibly the best tool for crops and resizing.

Get it from B&H Photo/Video online. They’re great to deal with. You’ll love Elements. Easy learning curve.

For me Paint Shop Pro was the easiest to learn, been using it a long time now, does everything I need, YMMV, Bob.

Photoshop Elements has a free trial of a couple weeks, maybe longer. Use it! Then, buy it direct from Adobe because there is another couple weeks where you can get a refund if you don't like it.

The free trial is at the bottom of the page. The $70 purchase is at the top of the page.

On1 will do it, too. I think it's about $80.00 for a lifetime license. As stated, Faststone is a wonderful free software.

For $20 a month you can get the cloud based versions of lightroom and photoshop and get 1tb storage.

Newest photoshop version has sky replacement as well.

LOL... Couldn't understand why I was the first. I expected the first reply to be the same as mine.

I purchased Photoshop Elements a few months back following a recommendation on this site and find it very comprehensive and thorough. Mind you, it takes quite a lot of effort to go through all the features and in the end I downloaded and got Staples to print out the user manual. That helped.
