Copenhagen, Denmark 2008 – Part 1, the Frederiksborg Castle Chapel
In 2008 I took a cruise of the Baltic Sea and one of our stops was Copenhagen, Denmark. During our tour there we visited the Frederiksborg Casttle, and it includes a magnificent Chapel. This wing of the castle was spared from the fire in 1859. Among other things, it contains an organ by Compenius built in 1610—it is reputed to be the oldest functioning organ in the World, and is featured on concerts frequently (I got to hear it). Visitors to the Chapel do so from the upper level, so most of my photos will be from that perspective.

Another fine set David.
Thanks, Doddy. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I see that none of my sets that day made it to the Digest, so viewers will be sparse.
awesome images, spectacular detail. Thanks for sharing

If you look up "magnificence" in the dictionary, this place definitely would be there. I also think that other than being a wonderful photographer, you are also a great tour-master! Thank you for this tour. It just amazes me how so many years ago, what marvels could be built when an individual had all the money in the world at his or her disposal
Jim, thank you so much! You're welcome--I like to share.
Joe, thank you very much for your very nice compliment! You're welcome. In reality, I just take the photos I can in the time allotted, fix what I can in PP, and post most of them to Flickr. When I post to UHH I just take a few of the better pictures and attempt to put them in some semblance of order. I confess that many of my more recent postings were of photos that had been post-processed years ago by a lesser tool, and that I've gone back and redone them using Lightroom. (Flickr has a nice process for just replacing the photos without touching the Descriptions, etc.)
