....feathered critters. Interesting month and one hungry peregrine falcon. We’ve had a number of winter visitors, and folks are getting ready for the Christmas bird count! We’ve had about 200 black skimmers hanging about and they are incredibly fun to watch! The herons are regular year rounders, and the hermit thrush appears in winter, mostly. I love to play with reflections if conditions are right, and the black necked stilts are graceful posers! I hope you enjoy these birds, photographed at Lake Los Carneros, Santa Barbara wharf and North Campus Open Space. All shot with Sony RX-10.
