WOW!!! These are beautiful.
Have any of Long Lake or Raquette Lake? Used to go camping on Raquette Lake eons ago. Adirondacks were always so beautiful.
If you're talking about the Contax/Zeiss 25mm, it has been my favorite lens for more than 20 years. Nice shots.

I have been to Long Lake paddled north and all down the Raquette to Tupper Lake, and I've been to Raquette quite a few times, but not with my new camera. I have some old black and whites from negatives somewhere. Those places are indeed beautiful, a bit busy for me, I prefer the more desolate corners.
The Adirondacks are still beautiful, and I will be adding more from there as I take them!

No, Contax is not anywhere on the lens. It's the ZF.2 / 2.8 Zeiss Distagon- (ZF.2 is the newest version). It is not the faster F2.0/ 25mm n- just couldn't afford the extra $700.
It is a 100% manual lens, the camera will run the diaphragm, but I have to set it, as well as the focus. It is taking some getting used to, and fast shots are not going to happen. In fact at first thought there might be something wrong with it, but I seem to be getting the hang of it better now... you have to pay attention!
I do like the lens though... it is on my camera 99% of the time! IN fact rather then a longer lens, i think I'd like an even wider one, but that's a while off.
Here is another- focus may be off a tinge.

We probably have the same lens; mine has no markings aside from "Carl Zeiss Distagon 2.8/25mm". This is an exception lens that has been around for many years and I intend to use it with a Sony body that permits me to focus wide open even though the lens is stopped down, but still needs to be manually focused. Good choice.
