Hi everyone. Just thought I would share some pics with you. Nothing special about them. Just love doin it.
Sunrise fisherman: Norfolk Island.
Full Moon as we see it Down Under!
Up and over! This guy escaped injury.
Southern stars over old hospital ruins on Norfolk Island.
This is how close I can get with my telescope. If you were in a spacecraft you would be 50kms off the Moon's surface. The moon was 410,000kms away from Earth when I took this snap.

Excellant, how did you shoot the hospital pic?
Thanks,
That hospital shot was taken using a 30 second exp. 800 ISO, 24-70/2.8 Canon lens set at 24mm and Nikon D3s camera on tripod.
The glow came from a small light under an awning of a building nearby.
I'm going over to Norfolk Island on Nov.10-17 to host a photographic tour of the Island which also takes in the Total Solar Eclipse on the 14th. This place is steep in history with NO light pollution! The night skies are very, very dark!
The sunset and stars over the ruins looked pretty special to me.

Thanks, that's amazing. It looks so cool, almost like it was two different photos put together in PP. I like in the foothills on the east side of central California. Very dark nights here also. I will have to try your settings and see what I can come up with.
