No pictures of Mesa Verde, Chaco Canyon or Flame House Ruin here. These are more images of ruins you have to work at to see. The first and second images probably haven't been seen by non Navajos in close to 70 years. Image 3,6 and 7 take quite a bit of climbing to get up to. It's an easy walk to get to images 4 and 5 but you have to think outside of the box to even think of getting there as we first did back in 1995. Please enjoy these in download.

Excellent set, Glad I don't have live there...
Really nice shots!! Thanks for the post. Stan
Thanks for giving us all a chance to view these hard-to-get-to scenes. Please stay safe over the holidays and keep on sharing.
I REALLY like these. Do they have names? They all look older (more primitive?) than the more visited ones.

#3 is called Sky House and #7 is called Three Finger Ruin those are the only ones with names that I know of.
Many of the visited ones i.e. Mesa Verde, have been partially reconstructed and or "stabilized".
Nice photos, problem is they look alike, Mesa Verde etc. Similar to a sunrise or a sun set.
Thanks for posting these. I love the colors of the cliffs beyond the structure in number 6. I can get some insight into how they were built, based on the window "frames". Hopefully, ruins like these will remain for everyone to enjoy for many years to come.
When I view scenes like yours of these ruins, I always wonder how they got the adobe mortar up there and where the water came from. Great scenes...thanks for sharing!!
Wonderful series. Thanks for sharing.
