Snow, trees, and shadows in B&W

This was taken on Thursday in Central Park after New York City's first snowstorm of the year. I usually like taking pictures of snow, but for whatever reason found it difficult to find interesting shots that day. I think I like this one, but interested in reactions of others. All comments and criticisms are welcome and appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Love the rich tonal range and textures. A wonderful example of thinking outside the literal/documentary. Great impact for me!

Allan, Outstanding Black and White Image of a snow storm. Great exposure and composition.

Great capture. Snow is tough, but you managed to render it well, with little loss of detail. It is a bit blown out in the background between the trees, but the foreground and mid-ground are well-rendered, and only pixel-peepers would notice (but you did ask for comments...) Please stay safe over the holidays and keep on sharing.

No question the shadows are critical. Thanks for the response.

I did ask for comments and appreciate yours. Of course, you are right about the blown out area behind the trees. I should have paid attention to this, but did not. Thanks for your generous comments and the constructive criticism.
