I see the snow. And I see the place. Never heard of Ilion before- even as a NYorker. Piqued my interest to look up. Remington Arms founded in this village (only one of 12 chartered by New York State still remaining today). In the 'snow belt', central NY. Love history.

Beautiful photographs of some of NYS's finest snow this year. I was born in Olean, 80 miles South of Buffalo, and can remember numerous snow storms like this. Some were up to the 36 inch mark after a few days. Well done photos.

Here in South Florida we se see snow only inside our freezers. High today a mere 73 degrees Fahrenheit.

I worked at Remington Arms for 34 years.
