Jill Biden holds two master’ degrees, one in education, the other a Master of Arts in English. She then went back to school and earned a Doctorate of Education. She is an educated person; not dumb, and has earned the right to put Dr. in her name, by all standards.
If one doesn’t like her—fine; but how absolutely petty of anyone to criticize her educational accomplishments.

Epstein, the op-ed writer, only has a Bachelor's degree. What I find disturbing is the WSJ printed and stands behind their editor's position! I know a number of PhDs, some use PhD after their name and some use Dr. before their name. Personally, I would PhD after my name. Epstein suggested alternatives as Jill, Kiddo and other senseless suggestions. What a jerk!

One of my daughters, her husband, my brother, his wife, two of my sons in laws all have Ph.D’s. Only one calls himself doctor—because his is a professor and it is used in the classroom. The others choose not to make a point about the matter.

A silly article. She can do what she likes. She earned her degree.
I’ve worked with plenty of people with graduate degrees though and wonder how some of them ever made it through school. But they had the self discipline to do it so kudos for that.
