Tablet for Photoshop

All too often I have purchased the "gold standard" this or that and not gotten my money's worth for one reason or another (usually my fault). I am now considering purchasing a drawing tablet to use with Photoshop (I don't use Lightroom, even though I am paying for it with my Adobe CC subscription). I've looked at the various offerings by Wacom, but have seen some favorable reviews of the XP-PEN Star G640 which can be purchased for under $40 USD. Any opinions on this product from you savvy photo geeks?

I went with a Wacom Intuos Pro M. I like it, especially for use with PS.

Adding a drawing tablet will really boost your PP ability, precision and speed. The cost is you will have to really learn hand eye coordination to make it second nature. Practice in the beginning can be difficult for some, but the reward is worth it. I am sure that tablets other than Wacom work, but the Intuos with express keys (I have the Intuos Pro 4) works seamlessly with my style of PP and being able to program the express keys and rotation wheel to my most used needs is great.

You want to decide if you want or need one sensitive to the tilt and rotation of the stylus you are holding. If you will be painting within photoshop this would change the brush on the canvas. If you just want better selections or accurate cloning then no need to pay for the extra capability.

I would worry about the lack of support for this tablet - if you look at the Amazon customer reviews -

Wacom has a much better reputation in this regard.

I recently bought a Huion inspiroy Q11K(cheaper than Wacom) and runs very well with PS. But it took me a week to get practice.
