Winter is tightening her grip a bit...
Dawn:9°F, a definite nip in the air...
Solid ice on the glacial lakes.
On a day like this I have the momentary thought that were I to gaze north I’d see the receding face of that last glacier... a few millennia back....

Very nice, particularly the first and third for me.
Gave me a chill though.

I can really imagine that nip in the air in the first shot. I think I would have really enjoyed being out that morning looking for compositions.
The third shot is also nice. You can tell that the ice is pretty solid. I also like the reeds.

Nice photos of the cold!
It’s snowing here in central Indiana for the first time this winter, and I’m heading out later for some photos. I don’t think I’m ready for nine degrees yet, though I’m sure it’s coming sooner or later.

Nice set Dave. Very sharp detail as usual. Your biggest success for me is that you captured the feeling. It's shivering cold out there.
