I made a calendar for 2021 and sent it to a few friends and family. Several people called this picture their favorite. I don't usually get that kind of specific comment. So I thought I would post it. Cropped about like it appeared on the calendar.
What is the correct way to post cropped pictures? I always get the black for the part that was cut.

Could be because the editor palette is still the original aspect ratio dimensions.
In some editors, chopping off some of the image does not always reduce the palette size.
