They walk among us . . .
And represent a danger to other law abiding folks who accept the inconveniences of the rules for the benefit of all.
I wonder how many Moms, Dads and Grandparents would be alive if everyone took this seriously?
Good morning "Rath",
ABSOLUTELY correct. I have stated the same comment (in a variety of ways) many, many times during the past 9+ months. Another big irritating observation I make is the near majority of individuals who choose to wear their mask covering the mouth only. I was a health care professional for 40+ years and know the vast majority of bacteria / virus colonies thrive in the nasopharynx (nose and behind / down) not the oropharynx (mouth and behind / down). A mask covering the mouth only is essentially the same as no mask at all. These are many of the people your download refers to.
All the best to you and yours - and stay safe during the interesting times,
Terry
And who says cartoons don't have it on the ball?
Thanks Terry
I feel particularly for retail workers who have suffered much abuse, some of it violent, when seeking to make customers, as instructed by their employers, obey the rules.
Stay safe and keep well.
Bill
I often remind myself that 50% of the population are below average intelligence.
IMHO politicians dominate that 50%.
I'm one of those who walk among us. Sure, I wear a mask knowing it is a complete waste of time and money. And I make sure it's a Chinese made mask so I can do my part to reward them for their stalwart behavior throughout this whole thing. I just wish I could do more for them.
But wearing the mask helps to not scare little children and willfully ignorant adults. And I'm all for that. For the mislead children's sake at least.
But I have learned something from this post. From now on I will wear my mask only on my nose! I will continue to spit and cough and retch and blow bubbles in public. But I will no longer pick my nose and wipe it on the handles of shopping carts. I will no longer hold one nostril with a finger and blow...hard! through the other nostril and deposit the mucus on the store floor. I will wait until I get outside so I can dispose of it on the sidewalk in front of the store the way it should be done.
So, please, when you see me in public, obeying all the rules with a smug look on my face. Wearing my Chinese mask and knowing that I am doing THE RIGHT THING for all that is GOOD AND HOLY. And knowing that I will be going to heaven because of my CORRECT behavior--Throw me a thumb's up, it'll cheer us both up!
Let's hear it now!! Hurah, Hurah, Hurah for the SHEEP WHO WALK AMONG US!
OK, we have the VXX [new shorthand for vaccine] but because the feds have a hands-off policy we do not have a detailed distribution system worked out so all flows smoothly. Uniformity in all of the USA is key to success.
I was a divisional manager and I worked out with consensus how we would all deal with situations as they occur, SOPs, Standard Operating Procedures, each plant in my responsibility handled solvent spills uniformly and reported them on a standard report form. It was my responsibility and blame if not done well.
I may have been an "Ass Hole" for being strict about SOPs, but I would have been a Bad "Ass Hole" if my divisional responsibility failed because it was a hog-pog of non-uniformity. People will die if the VXX program is not run uniformly.
