Hi, I'm looking for a photography school in the Phoenix area. Does anyone know of any that's free or not expensive?

Look into local photo clubs...Many people are willing to mentor others...

Try a local J.C. Probably about $150 per semester. That's not free but only about $2 per hour. But you would be on a rigorous schedule, definitely NOT self-paced.

Check with a local community college for evening courses, sometimes more of a self study but you have someone to pose questions to on a regular basis

Also look at local Adult Education programs through the school system. I teach in two towns in my area, Photoshop Elements for Beginners; PSE for Intermediates; and HDR.

Inexpensive and a great place to start.

Meredith, do you teach those through the public school system? Or are they through the community services? Are they free to the public. Who pays you? Just wondering what public school systems still have budget to do extracurricular for adults. If so, do you know where your state rates in education spending. You could also PM me if you don't want it to be public or maybe you don't want to share that info, and that's ok too.
But they are great suggestions. Thanks
