My experiences with them have been positive
I purchased a 5DII body a few years ago, rated excellent. It came without a focus screen. They sent me a focus screen, whereupon using it within a week, the main dial started to slip intermittently. They replaced the camera immediately. The replacement is a great backup body and still working great as another camera fitted with a different lens allowing switching with others to avoid changing lens.
KEH is great. All our purchases arrived in better condition than we expected.
All my KEH experiences have been very good. No hesitation to use them in the future.

The one time they made a mistake on my order, it was a product labeling error (Adapter for Four Thirds to Nikon F Mount labeled MICRO Four Thirds to Nikon F Mount lenses). When I called, they apologized, immediately refunded my credit card account, and told me to keep the adapter, or give it or sell it to someone with a Four Thirds camera.

I bought a Canon battery grip from KEH at less thann 1/2 price of the original Canon price. The only way I could tell it wasn't brand new is that it came in bubble wrap rather than original box. Nothing but good things to say about KEH. Will buy from them again.

Odd, maybe someone there was just having a bad day, if I am not mistaken they have a 30 no questions asked return policy. I have found them to be quite good and did indeed return a lens simply because I was not satisfied with its IQ.
Never had an issue at all bought a body Nikon F100, and a few lenses. All GREAT and honestly better than expected.

KEH has been around for a very long time, and has a spotless reputation.

Possibly, if we heard a recording of the call, we'd all hear something completely different?
I'll keep everyone posted on how this is resolved.

It's crazy to see how consistent is the outpouring of praises for KEH. The OP should do a similar search on 42nd St. Photo or Abe's of Maine for a contrasting scene...
I don't understand what the issue is. I had a problem with a vender and I posted it. Am I missing something? Let's wait to see if they resolve the issue. This doesn't make sense. This was my first dealing with KEH and they handled my issue very poorly.
