As you may have guessed by now, I like birding and the challenge of trying to get photos of them. The Elegant Trogan is one of my favorites and I included two photos so that you can see the colors on the front and back of the bird. I think they are absolutely beautiful, and with only about 50 pair of them in the US, very hard to find. This one I found at Patagonia Lake State Park in Arizona. Once you find him he usually is a good subject to photograph, being tolerant of people. They like to sit in a tree about six to eight feet off the ground, scanning for insects. By the time I got done with photos of him, there were a lot of people around him watching, which didn't seem to bother him at all.
