I am new to this site, and I have never done anything like this before! I love taking photographs and have bought a Nikon D3100. Well as you can guess, I need help with getting to know my camera! PLEASE HELP!

Welcome to the site....
First, read the manual while you hold the camera and try EVERYTHING. There's a world of info in the manual and most folks never read it. Then get one of the Guides or Magic Lantern books for your camera at the bookstore. Then....shoot lots of photos.......
After that post some pohots and ask for critiques.

Read all you can....and then play around with your camera and settings...you'll be amazed at what it & you can do. Have fun taking pics!
