He was on a mission and I felt quite brave getting down low and letting him walk right towards me!
Canon R5, 70-300 L and I used the crop mode.

It probably would not be a problem as long as you don't get close to this one's relatives in the area around Sydney, Australia.
Nice shots.

Nice shots! We have some pretty big ones here - I usually manage to keep a couple hundred millimetres of focal length between us!

Very nice. I've had one crawl on my hands and up my arms a bit then onto another hand, etc. The way their mouth is shaped they can't bite flat skin. They could, however, bite the area between one's forefinger and thumb. Also, they don't bite if not provoked.

They do feel a bit strange when they are walking on one's hand or arm. There's a weight there, but, at the same time, it doesn't feel like there's anything there.

Nice captures - #2 seems a bit sharper. Brave, even if there is a suggestion that they are not likely to bite. Enjoy the holidays and keep on sharing.

Flashback to the Connery Bond movie - (maybe Live & Let Die?) gave me the creeps for years!

During my college zoology class while studying spiders the prof sent his about 10 yr old daughter to get some of these guys from his office. She came back with one in each hand and said one had bitten her. The prof took them and put some iodine on the bite. A little girl braver than anyone esle in the room.

Great shots and you really are brave from my perspective... can’t stand em and would only get that close by accident... then likely wet myself :)
Also, I don't know my spiders...what flavor of spider is that?

Beth, excellent set of photos and you are sure getting that R5 working like it should.

I know! 1973. That was the first Bond movie I have ever seen on a quick stunt out of the Iron Curtain. So, naturally, Moore=Bond. Sean Connery came way later for me..
