Saturday was a dreary day at the beach, no decent sunrise for the cloud cover. There were some interesting patterns and textures in the sand. I finished these in Silver Efex.

You probably should have finished them in color. Then they shouldn't look so gloomy. Seriously, they are a little flat. they are hard for me to tell exactly what the content is. Normally, due to my colorblindness, I can pick out everything presented in a B&W photograph. With these two photos, everything just seems to blend. Not to worry. It is probably just me.

Joe, Two great B&W images at the beach with a great tonal range from White to Black. Thanks for sharing.Stan

I really like the increased contrast in rendering of the second image. Both great captures. I hope that you stay well, enjoy the holidays and keep on sharing.

I’ll pull up the color photos and post them. I seem to recall there were a lot of whites and blacks in the sky and beach that made me think B&W was the way to go. Thanks for the critique, it will help me when I decide on B&W in the future.
