2020 is coming to an end. There are many words and phrases that have been overused this year. Some that come to mind for me are:

“At the end of the day”
“Repurposed”
“Reimagined”
Starting answers to questions with “So”
“Final thoughts”
“The new normal”
“Game changer”
“Reach out”

I hate the 'new normal' the most. It begs the question too often as to a political opinion. The others are OK.

I think the scientific community began the: "So" which I despise. Close is "The new normal" which almost often salutes a general lessening of the current!

And then there is BS Bingo. We used to play this at sales meetings (much to the consternation of management) - we just need to update the phrases: https://newt.phys.unsw.edu.au/~jw/meetings.pdf

Oh damn, you beat me to it - didn’t see it in time. Yep, management was not pleased with the occasional shouts of “Bingo” during meetings

The one sign I had in my office that really frosted them was:
The Bitterness of Poor Quality Remains Long After The Sweetness of Meeting the Schedule Has Been Forgotten!!

Attached is the one you need in the shack!

I’ll bet. When I was with Tektronix, our service center had a sign that said:”poor planning in your part does not necessarily constitute an emergency on our part” (not where a customer could see it).
