Downloaded a trial version today Dec 6, 2020. So far not impressed. Registering with a password was a nightmare but finally got it. Found a tutorial which must have been very did not represent my version. Put a blurry photo through the process and i t helped but did look like the example in the tutorial. This example was a path through some bamboo and it took it from almost indeitinguisaable to pretty clear. Not so with my blurry portrait. I think maybe the trial version may dumbed down in performance. Cannot find any good tutorials that start from the very beginning to explain the operation.. Comments would be appreciated.

Which Topaz Ai ? My past experience with Topaz is that the trials are not dumb down but are time limited.

Could you upload an example of the blurry photo, Before/After so that those with other similar programs may play with it.

You are correct, Topaz will not perform miracles, however, I find that it does a good job when I compare them to other programs.
I found that the Topaz products when combined with their built-in tutorials present a short and easy learning curve.
Personally, I like Topaz products very much. Here are some links that may help you.

Thanks for your reply. This morning Topaz asker for a password for the trial. Yesterday it worked It was unable tor reset it. Check email, they replied "click here", invalid. No phone help. Looks like I will just have to pass on this program. Never had this problem with any other photo program and i have downloaded quite a few. The one tutorial I watched had a photo of a path through bamboo which which was horribly blurred and was fixed nicely. That is why I though that I could do the same with the phot I submitted. I even redownloaded the Topaz AI, no luck.

Replying to the email they send to reset passwords. I have lr and pl and never had to use a password. Now the login page is stuck on my screen and wont X out. All other programs on this computer are working fine.

Hard to know which Topaz program you are referring to, but I'll guess it's Sharpening AI. While no program will magically restore a very blurry image, Topaz Sharpening has 2 modes that can be helpful - Stabilize and Focus. I downloaded the trial version, and tried it out on some images that were not sharp due to a malfunctioning autofocus on a 24mm lens. The results were surprisingly good and allowed me to print 16x24 images, one of which I hung on my office wall.

Here's a web version of one of the salvaged images.

Good luck on your efforts.
