Smartphone tripod mounts?

I have ordered several different tripod mounts for smartphones and have found them to be flimsy plastic and routinely made to be used with the “naked phone” ; they are either difficult or impossible to use with phones in a case.

Has anyone found a tripod mount that they are satisfied with?

YEARS ago I got this. Can't tell you what store though....
Works well with mine being in the Otter Box case.
Press the release button on the side and it opens wide, ratchet-click on closing (snugging up).

Thanks,Longshadow,
Sure looks sturdier than any I’ve tried, but my iPhone11ProMax in case is just a tad too wide for its stated specs.
I’ll check with the company to see if the are updating that model. Looks great!

How wide is your phone?
I'll measure the opening open and update.
(It does have to go in vertically...)

Update: MY mount is 3.5 inches wide open.
I've no idea the width of your phone in the case.
Not a big honkin' phone is it?

Thanks for checking!
The ad says 3.25” and my phone with case is 3and 3/8, so if yours can spread open to 3 and 1/2 looks like I’m good t’go!
Thanks a bunch! I’m goin’ for it!

You might not have to tighten but one click (two?) if any if the newer mounts still go to 3.5.
There is a somewhat squishy cushion on each clamp side to prevent scratching and probably moreover to grip the phone. Worst case you may have to "press it in", between the cushions?

My (OLD) phone (Galaxy S-III) in an Otter Box is 3" wide.

I got this one from Amazon. It it plastic, but seems to be well made, and it it does fit my iPhone 11 with the case on. No need to remove the case. It can also be mounted in reverse so the rear screen doesn’t have the arm of the mount in the way. The remote shutter trigger is blue tooth and couples to your phone. Works well.

Thanks WP,
After I ordered the one Longshadow recommended I remembered I wanted two; one for my car tripod and one for my house tripod! This looks like a good possibility!
Many thanks for the info!

I have a Monfrotto Compact Action Smart that works well with a cellphone.
