A few years ago we took a trip through Glacier National Park and on up into Canada. Traveling up highway 17 known as Chief Mountain highway in Northern Montana we traversed through many fence lines along the route, but never had to stop to open any gates. They had painted seven or eight bright white lines across the road and at a few of them there was a sign notifying us that we were crossing a Texas Gate.
I know they work but I wouldn't think that they would...pg. 29
I found a cow pasture that was fenced in. Beside the pole with the cow picture on it is a small gate. At this farm, the barn is across the highway and the cows have to cross the road to return to the barn.
At the same farm I find a tired gate that has seen better days!
On my way home I passed by another farm which has two beautiful red barns. The two barns are fenced in by a beautiful white fence
