Now that Thanksgiving has passed by, it's time to move on.
What better way than to listen to our favorite Christmas music.
Remember Pogo, penned by Walt Kelly back in the 50s/60s?
Here is my favorite by Walt.

Glad you found it worth while. Every time I hear "Deck the Halls With Holly" these lyrics pop into my head.
Guess it's my strange sense of humor.

Pogo is always worth a look.
I've been trying to find these lyrics for years. Thanks for posting.
Ya know, for years I have asked around: "Who is Richard Stans? And, why do we honor him at Chamber of Commerce meetings; football games; the beginning of school days; and, many other public events?" [As in: "I pledge allegiance to the flag; and, the Republic for Richard Stans"]
Come to think of it. . .Maybe Walt Kelly knows. . .Reminds me of Sunday mornings (late 1940's). I had a "paper route," delivering the Oakland Tribune. Before "rubber banding" the paper for delivery, I would read the POGO strip. . especially for the insightful political and social commentary that Walt provided <smile>

A real "groaner", I love it! I Had not heard it before.

Always liked Pogo. One of my favorites was when Pogo and crew was in battle gear and heading out across the swamp in a flat bottom boat — holding his wood sword aloft he proclaims: “We went out to meet the enemy and the enemy was us.”
Although we don't celebrate thanksgiving here down under (Australia), that song was hilarious.
