Walking this morning on one of our five eighteen hole golf courses I didn’t see a sole. Kind of nice and peaceful!

Nice Photo but I think you meant "Soul". It would be so strange seeing a fish in a golf course. Sole is also an adjective but not a noun.

I thought it was a part of the bottom of a shoe or slipper.

No I meant sole sort of a joke. Photo was just snapped and two soles on course was correct. When it gets cold the walkers disappear. If you prefer souls.😀
