I flew my 1955 Piper tri-pacer to air show in the 80s

Loc: By the beautiful Hudson
O gosh, Oshkosh, by gosh. Italian flag colors. Much better than WWII Italian air force. Our daughter and family live in Eau Claire, the other side of the state.
I have been there, stayed over night in the 70s on the way to Hayward. I moved here in 96, those pictures have been in a box in basement since then and this year found them had to take some spots off from storage. thanks for looking..

These are quite beautiful. Now if your a pilot, are you interested in flying a jet plane? I have it on my bucket list.
no. I would rather fly Piper Cub seat of pants like earlier pilots. thanks for looking!
thanks for
not 4 me, I like flying older stuff. I did fly in a B-24 when my dad was in Army air corps.
To Farm Boy: Your ‘55 Piper Tri-Pacer is a very nice High Wing. I am a little confused though. In some photographs, it looks like a tail dragger and in others it does not. While I don’t own a plane or have a license I love the freedom of the clouds. A friend of mine recently told me above being a jet plane pilot for a day. You actually get to fly inside a jet plane such as an L-39 Albatross. He also showed me a video of being able to fly inside a MiG-29 Fulcrum at 70,000 feet to the edge of space. That would be the ultimate someone can fly. It is on my bucket list. A fellow Hogger put me on the path of being able to fly some WWI planes. That too is interesting. But right now, I just want to get some hours in my log book. Have a happy Thanksgiving.
there are Pacers and there are tri-pacers, I sold mine to a fellow that wanted to switch mine to a pacer. I like the old stuff because not every one can fly it safely. my plane had no stall warn buzzer to tell you when it stalls the manual told how to jump log in dry creek ect for bush pilots. happy Thanksgiving to you and yours tomorrow I will send you a picture of it with me the day before I left to go to Oshkosh.
I learned to fly in a Cessna 140A, and that taildragger prepared me for everything. Full-stall landings scare the beejeebers out of people who’ve only flown tricycles.
I an Archer first then bought the Tri-pacer I just like the older stuff. there is going to be a piper cub for sale I flew 34 years ago. the guy recover and hung wings on wall in barn about 1997 and they are there yet. he passed away couple month ago,
I check in on my 140 every once in a while. 2331V. She’s in Wyoming or Montana now.
