Has any of you Mac users updated to Big Sur OS and if you did were there software issues ?
I didn't have enough storage to load it so I didn't. Then I read up about it and I think I will decline and wait until the many issues have been resolved.
I just purchased, out of necessity, a new iMac. It didn't come with Big Sur and I was advised it needed to be up dated. That was the first thing I did. Then transferred everything from my old iMac to the new one. At that point I could update Ps and Lr. Everything has been working well.

Loaded Big Sur on my IMac a week ago ... and no problems running Lightroom subscription edition on it.
Yes, running LrC and Ps with no problems
Big Sur is working fine on both my MacBook Pro and iMac.

There's getting some controversy over this release.
Parts of the government are trying to stop end=to=end encryption
And the FBI wants access free of legal encumbrances.
Big Sur is supposed to be sending data back to the Apple mothership
Which will include date, time, Mac address, and programs.

Apple (or anyone else) can, of course, calculate these hashes for common
programs: everything in the App Store, the Creative Cloud, Tor Browser,
This means that Apple knows when you're at home. When you're at work.

Premiere over at a friend's house on their Wi-Fi
I'm getting worried.
HiSierra and Mojave work good enough for me.
I have just changed to a Mac with Catalina from windows and has a few problems. I was told to update to Big Sur which I did and have no problems now.. Unlike Bob (realarz) I already had my programs installed..
Sometimes my mouse & trackpad are not working. CMD_OPT_ESC(Force Quit) also does not work.
Loaded Big Sur a few days ago and the only problem I had was that my Loupedeck+ input for Lightroom was not fully operational. However a simple email to Loupedeck support fixed the problem. My Canon Pro 10 printer is working with the Canon Print Studio software
I haven't installed it yet on my iMac, which still runs Mojave. However, I had to call Apple tech support yesterday for a performance issue, and the tech rep suggested I consider moving to Big Sur. He said he had it on his Mac and it performed better than the prior OS and he'd had no problems.

I’m in the beta testing program and the 1st version had some glitches.
I have had no problems with the new version. Or at least none with Capture 1 (the Fuji version) Affinity photo, and the other apps. The Fuji Apps work. The only issue I have is that the security code for one of my programs is listed as expired.
Still sitting on the fence. I have Catalina on my iMac and everything working alright. On my iPad there isn’t sufficient storage to download the new O.S. but, again, everything working alright.
