I could not help myself- had to post. Hummers in the rain. Three poses.
While heading down to feed our chickens and ducks I noted this guy just sitting under some large -to him- leaves avoiding being in the wet. Frame by frame this guy would "flex" his head feathers to show red or dark red-brown or almost black. Note the subtle metallic green next to the white feather sticking out. Download is best to see this detail.
Bird was about 30 feet away just sitting there taking in the world.
Trusty D500, 500pF attached. 1/500, f 5.6, ISO 4000, no EV. Steady moderate rain, breezy, about 47 F.
Enjoy!
Perfect! Loved it!
P.S. Thank you for posting ISO, Shutter Speed, Aperture etc. That really helps us newbie's. What does noEV mean?
No. 2 may be the best Anna's Hummingbird I have ever seen. The colors and details of the feathers are very impressive.

Thanx for viewing. Exposure Value. Check your camera manual for a definition and how to operate on your camera.
