In the meantime, pour yourself a glass of Woodland Reserve. Fire up a good stogie and sit back and enjoy. If you like a single malt whiskey instead try Glenfiddich. Bourbon is a liquor rich in flavor and history. That is why it is to be sipped slowly. Gulping it down or following it with a beer chaser is not what you would do with bourbon or a single malt. But in all, I hope that all Have A Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving to you. My bourbon of choice is Buffalo Trace. Meant to be sipped neat.

Here is one of the "unicorn's" of the bourbon world....It took 14 months of ordering from a state ran store to get these...."IF and when" the China virus is every behind us.....these WILL be opened!

I'll have to try that. I sneak across the state line to Jantzen Beach for my booze. I use JD to mix and Buffalo Trace to sip. If I buy 2 of each of half gallons I save $70-$80 per trip. Washingtons taxes are horrendous!

I have never had Buffalo Trace Bourbon. This one sounds like a winner. Since I am in NYC, there is a liquor store on East 23rd Street and Park Avenue. They have a huge selection of whiskeys and Bourbons alike. It is not uncommon for me to go into this store to buy a $30 bottle, and come out of the store an hour later with 4 additional bottles of different whiskeys and bourbons. When my wife asks me how much I spent, I cover my mouth and whisper the amount I put on my credit card.

I do the same. Buffalo Trace is made by the makers of Pappy's, Sazerac. The difference is you don't have to pay $500 for a chance to win a bottle. Would like to know your opinion when you try it. I wanted a mix with 7-up but didn't have any JD so I tried BT. Not to be mixed.

I NEVER leave a liquor store empty handed (too far to drive and a waste of gas if I did) THANKS to ALL who commented on this! CHEERS!
