Definitely a hawk. Very nice shots
Nice pics. They have been around lately. I h seen a Red Shoulder Hawk get lucky in my back yard a couple of times in the last month. Sucker is fast, soon as it sees me , its gone.
Cooper's Hawk-Falcons have a dark streak that drops down from the eye.

Beautiful! Sure is nice to see them up close. I have a pair of Kestrels that make somewhat regular visits to terrorize my feeders. Love watching all the interaction and wonders of flight.
Good sharp photos! I have Cooper’s and Sharpies frequent my neighborhood and especially have trouble telling the immatures apart.

Definitely a Cooper’s hawk; size relative to fence boards suggest it likely is a female(larger than the male - which can be confused with a large female sharp-shinned hawk).
