Envelopes for Large Prints

I'm printing large 13 x19 size prints and looking for good quality envelopes to hand deliver them to someone. When you get a large print at Costco - they have a large white envelope plus a piece of cardboard to keep it stiff.
Any recommendations on a source for this? I've seen 13 x 19 envelopes on Amazon - but not sure if they would fit a 13 x 19 print. Also looking for envelopes for 17 x 22.
Thanks for the help.

I would look for a source of inert, acetate envelope (nothing with PVC). Cheap paper envelopes will be acidic and if the print is stored in them for any period of time, damage can occur.

I would think a cardboard tube would be the best, lest chance for unexpected damage.

Try Uline. They have lots of different size envelopes as well as tube. I use them for the envelopes I use to mail out my calendars. If you decide to go with envelopes, make sure you use cardboard for extra protection. My personal preference for large prints would be shipping tubes. If you don't need too many, you can even check out your local Post Office.

Are you using a lab? Then why not have the lab drop ship the image?

I understand your concern. Measurements are often inaccurate because they sometimes include the folded over portion. It's the same when buying a tarp. A 13" print in a 13" envelope would be a tight fit. Adding cardboard is essential. The PO has nice free envelopes for Priority Mail.

I've used Uline for years - their rigid selv sealing stayflats work great: https://www.uline.com/BL_1654/White-Self-Seal-Stayflats-Mailers

Check out Bagsunlimited.com. They have mailing envelopes, boxes and tubes. I issue they large cardboard envelopes to mail 13 x 19 prints without any problem. I wrap the prints with baking parchment paper to prevent scratching.

I don't use envelopes for anything larger than 8.5 X 11. For anything larger, I used tubular mailers. I realize that care must be taken when rolling and inserting the prints, but I think the much more sure protection of the prints is worth the care.

I have wondered what might be the best way to send gift photos to family members across the country. One method I have toyed with is to send a printing order to a Costco store near where the people live. If the printout is reliable, perhaps the family member could pick up the print at their nearest costco print center. But how consistent are the results likely to be?
My concern is that a lovely 20x30 print might easily be damaged during shipping, especially during the Xmas rush?

Years ago, I used to use ULINE as they are about 15 minutes drive from my house and I would go there to pick up items. No longer. ULINE started adding a $25 pick up fee which makes them non-competitive on most items I would buy from them. So, a $10.00 product would now cost $35.00. Too bad...another customer lost!
