Looking for an All-In-One printer.

After 3 years, I completely wore out an Epson Artisan 1400. No longer made but a few new ones still available for over $1,000 (long story); purchased an Epson XP-960 all in one that will even print on CDs & DVDs.Usually sits unused for 7-10 days and then prints with no problems. Also, buying ink in bulk with refillable cartridges from INK OWL and have no problems with quality or stoppage.
Hello to all--I had a Canon MX8-- and a MX922. I used third party ink and both had to be thrown out (recycled) I also had a Epson AIO, recycled, third party ink. If at first you don't succeed, try again. Which I did with the Brother MFC-J985DW-AIO-third party ink almost 3 years with no problems. Good luck.
For everyday printing I use HP Office Jet 3830. Auto feed, fax etic. I do not use it for photos. I am very pleased with it. Have had it for several years with no problems, and it is not an ink hog.

You are so right about Epson printers. I've had two and if they are not consistently used the nozzles will clog. I now have a Canon that gets rarely used but when I do use it I don't have to run through 2 to 3 nozzle cleanings.
I've got 2 Epson priners (a WF 2750 and a very old R1800). I have NEVER had a problem with either one of them (note that the 1800 is probably about 15 - 20 years old) and very rarely do I have to do a "head cleaning", even if it has been a month or two since it was last used.

Looking online, I am considering either a Brother color laser printer or an HP color laser printer. Still checking specs though. I might make a run to Best Buy to see them in person and hopefully run a test sheet or two. Both seem to have what I’m looking for. My last trip to see printers in person, I was shocked how cheaply printers seem to be made compared to my older printers that I have had.
Ron,
I can recommend Brother laser printers. I do not have an all-in-one like you are looking for, I just have a Brother L3270CDW color laser printer that does duplex printing. It was less money than HP printers, toner cartridges are less money, and the all of the review websites have been really positive about Brother printers.
Not sure what your budget is, but here is a link to an all in one that looks pretty similar to the printer specs of my printer. It is an all in one, does auto duplexing, 250 sheet paper tray, etc.

I ha e found that using generic inks with an Epson printer can cause problems I have two printers and use Epsom Clark's inks on both of them without any problems
For me it’s not so much about ink cost, it’s the fact I have to perform printhead alignment and nozzle cleanings almost every other week. No more Epson printers for me. I have ordered an HP color laser jet, now need to sell the Epson.

If your HP Photosmart worked for 12 years without a problem, why didn't you buy another instead of switching to Epson?
Senior moment I guess, should have known better. I am picking up a new HP Color Laser Jet today.

Sorry about answering late. I bought the Epson because it appeared to be an upgrade as it had two paper trays that I could place letter and legal paper in, also it was on sale for 100.00 off.
I’m going back to an HP though, I’ve always been happy with their dependability.
I have on order an All-in-one HP color LaserJet. Doesn’t have two paper trays but does have a manual slot for inserting Legal paper when I need that size.
Lesson learned.
