Yesterday I was processing some photos and noticed a tiny black dot that appeared in the same spot on all my photos with a light background. But when I opened the spot removal mask, I couldn’t find it! Whaat!? I moved on to other images in the file and resolved to do some PS later. Closed out of LR. Went to web surf and there was the spot again! Note to self, wipe the screen...!

Hi mizzee,

Darn! I laughed over your comments because I'd done the same thing a couple of days ago. I can guarantee the "Healing Brush Tool" in PS with NOT remove the spot. Take care & ...

Yes, I have found that the spot remover is ineffective for removing spots on the screen. Whiteout doesn't work well either

Many times there's a speck of something on my computer screen and I think it's in the photo.

With me it might be floaters which of course move around. Ever tried chasing something to remove it?

As I was using my new laptop, I noticed a tiny black dot moving across the screen. How unusual. I suddenly realized there was a tiny insect on the inside of the glass. Without thinking, I pressed on the glass and squished it permanently in position. I now and forever more have a bug in my computer.
