This brought back an old memory. When I was a kid there was a department store called G. Fox in downtown Hartford, also the home of Colt Industries. The department store often had exhibits on the mezzanine and one day they had an exhibit of Colt firearms. One of those was a derringer, with an engraved inscription that I have always remembered. It said, "Be not afraid of any man, no matter what his size... When trouble nears, just call on me and I will equalize".
