Finally got to get to the seacoast for a sunrise. It wasn't a spectacular dawn, but getting out with a camera again was wonderful. There was a sea breeze, I had sand in my shoes and the sun found a crack in the clouds. A grand moment for 2020. And I was socially distant--no one within a mile or more.

Thanks for looking.
One word...Wow.
Very nice- that makes getting up early worthwhile.
Beautiful rendering of a magnificent capture. Do you mind sharing what value of ND filter you used? Please stay well and keep on sharing the great work.

Thanks Jaymatt. It was great to get out. Been a while, I was feeling nervous.

It was a bit early. Up at 4:15 so I could make the drive and the walk to the site. But, you are right---it was worth it. :-)

It was pretty early, and the sun was low. I didn't need an ND filter, just stopped the lens down and used a low ISO. 10 minutes later was a different story.
When necessary I have the following tools in my camera bag:
Polarizer--also acts as 1.5 stop ND filter
6 stop ND Filter
10 stop ND Filter)
3 stop GND (Graduated Neutral Density) Filter
6 stop GBD Filter
I appreciate you looking and asking your question.
Larry, you found the best moment of 2020! Beautiful shot for sure!
