My present monitor has been acting up so I thought it was time to "bite the bullet" so to speak. It is pretty old and hasn't been made for a few years now, so either would have been a big step up. Ordered a BenQ SW270C from B&H. Will be here by the weekend. Almost got the SW2700 but went for the 270 for a couple reasons.
Anybody have any feed back on either monitor.

I have the SW270c and really like it. I also bought the X-Rite i1 Display Pro to calibrate the monitor.

If you go to the Benq website you can get a deal on a refurbished, I have bought 2 in the last year that way with no problems

I have 2 Benq SW2700PT monitors .I also use i1 Display Pro To calibrate using the Palette Master Element that they recommend to use to calibrate . You must have a graphic card with Display output to calibrate monitor and get a accurate Validation at the end of Calibrating . I had to buy 2 display cables because both of my graphic cards required the larger connector to connect to my card .The cable that came with the monitors had only one end with the larger connector and the other end was the smaller connector witch upset me a little bit , I have had mine for 3 yrs now. No problems and they still Validate ok . Mine comes with the ability to Calibrate two different calibrations and a dongle to switch back and fourth .I set Calibration 1 at 90 lum's for printing , and Cal 2 at 120 Lum's for viewing on the web . Very Happy so far

I use a Benq SW2700PT. The SW270C is the next monitor up in the Benq lineup of photographic monitors from the SW2700PT. I recommend Benq monitors and I am happy with mine.

I also use the X-Rite i1 Display Pro and the Palette Master Elements software that Kubota King mentioned in his reply. One thing I want to add is to make sure you use the Palette Master software to calibrate the monitor, not the software the comes with the X-Rite i1 Display Pro.

In my first attempt to calibrate, I was able to go through the calibration process with the X-Rite software, but I had a number of Delta E values that were not ≤2, there were two that were in double digits. After watching a couple of videos by Benq ambassador Art Suwansung and calling Benq tech support, I found out that the X-Rite software was the cause of the high Delta E values I was getting during the validation process. It also turned out that for some reason, I also had to uninstall the X-Rite software from my PC, as just having it installed was interfering with the calibration and validation process. Once I did that and used the Palette Master software, all of my Delta E values were <1.

I don't know if anyone else using a Benq monitor has had this happen, as I have not seen anyone else post anything similar to this here, but I just thought I would mention it. Just for the record, I use a PC, not a Mac... maybe it is a Windows compatibility issue between the different software configurations and hardware.

Thanks. Really looking forward to it getting here.I figure there will be learning curve. I have had my present monitor for several years so I know there have bee some big improvement. I have a Spyder5 that I have been using for calibration so hoping that will work. Got a Question? The website says it works but in real world terms does it work as well?

Datacolor Spyder5 series works fine with most monitors. I have the Spyder5Pro, and recently upgraded to the much faster Spyder X Elite. No complaints. As for BenQ, watch this:

Well it got here just a bit ago. Whew, there is a world of difference. Going to use my old monitor as a second monitor to put my tools on when using PS and to keep some things handy. Before I retired I used two screens and liked it.

I've had my BenQ SW2700PT for about 9 months now and love it. I have a 2 monitor set up and the 2700 is my main one for all my processing and editing. The otherolder one holds my panels. Bev
